Kindle Unlimited Changes + Book 7 News & Cover Reveal

Hi folks,

By the end of 2025, the Noctis Investigations series will be leaving Kindle Unlimited. The series will remain on Amazon for purchase, and come early 2026, will be released wide on all available ebook platforms.

For those who are eagerly anticipating book 7—it will be enrolled on Kindle Unlimited for the first three months, and will be the last book to do so. See the end of this blog for further information on its release.

Below are the exact dates that each book will no longer be available on Kindle Unlimited:

  • Book 1: November 25
  • Book 2: October 24
  • Book 3: October 28
  • Book 4: October 15
  • Book 5: December 26
  • Book 6: October 27
  • Book 6.5: October 27
  • Book 7: Early 2026

Why am I removing the series?

Well, there are a few factors. In order for an author to enrol their novels in Kindle Unlimited, they must agree to a 3-month period of Exclusivity to Amazon. This means that I cannot offer my book on any other platform during the enrolment period. This was fine, as I was just starting out and finding my feet, but I no longer wish to have my hands tied.

And it did do well — In Like Lloyd joined KU in September 2023 and racked up over half a million pages read, with the series now closing in on one-and-a-half million total. Those were early days, though, and the numbers have since slowed. It’s time to open the doors to a wider audience.

Book 7 news:

It’s coming—finally. What began as a quick final-draft polish in June turned into a full rewrite of the last twenty chapters. I have officially finished the new version, and will now begin working on the final stages for release.

Due to these rewrites, the book has also received a title change. Those of you who saw the “Lloyd will return…” message at the end of “Lloyd Among Thieves” know the original title was: “In Sickness and Lloyd”.

That is no longer the case.

I’m proud to finally anounce not only the new title, but to reveal the cover:

Some battles you survive. Others change you forever.

“Months of digging into Vardot Industries has left Lloyd Gibson with nothing but dead ends and more questions than answers. When a police officer strong-arms him into a case about a missing woman and her son, he figures it’s just another distraction.

He’s wrong.

The search leads to Christopher Monroe—a desperate father with power for hire—and a boy whose touch can wipe out a city. Their tragedy sparks a chain of cover-ups and killings that spread across Calgary, dragging Noctis Investigations straight into the crossfire.

And in the shadows lurks an enemy he should have ended when he had the chance—sharper, stronger, and far more dangerous than before, hell-bent on drowning his world in blood and tears.”

Thanks again to everyone who’s supported Lloyd’s journey so far. It means everything to me, and I appreciate every single one of you. Even the ones who only read the opening paragraph and forgot to come back.

Expect Blood, Lloyd, and Tears to drop in November. No pre-order this time—once it’s ready, it goes live. Keep an eye here and on Facebook for the official announcement.
